    Default Battle-Fields.com to close soon

Another stalwart of the IL-2 community, over twenty plus years, is closing up shop.

Its been a pleasure. Live long and prosper
From the message Bone Head posted I get the impression that the BF1 IL-2 dogfight server will be going down at the same time?

Even the Facebook page is no longer active. Although it is still viewable it will probably going away some time soon also.

Looks like the 22nd anniversary sometime in early November is going to be the final day.

Ill still be knocking around and will still be up for a game.
Ive still got a rack full of servers so I intend to keep the gliding server going for skinny as I enjoy that too. If he is still around. I think commercialism has torn the heart out of traditional forums. The likes of dischord, steam and facebook are harvesting data on every player and making money from it. I guess I'm just old fashioned.

Unless the the hardware dies beforehand Ill probably turn it off beginning of November, on the sites 22nd birthday. Bit sad really, its going to be like pulling the plug on a life support machine.
