    Default Eating Bananas

Many journalists and media people, (those lucky bastards) are often given the chance to ride with the Blue Angles or Thunderbirds prior to their putting on an air show. They are often told to eat 'bananas' before the flight.

    Why?

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”—Samuel Adams

Coster is pretty close, from what I understand and according to AOPA magazine, they taste the same coming up as they do going down. So maybe the one hurling is not having any foul after taste, but the one that has to clean up the mess probably doesn't think so.
