    Default Saitek X52 Pro Problem

Got the x52 pro at the end of last week, love the stick to death!

However have one problem with it right now, was wondering if anyone else has had it or knows how to correct it. The throttle Buttons, Fire Buttons E and D, and Clutch button I, seem not to be working when i press them. However I can stilll change the LED lighting and some other misc things, but doesnt seem to be functioning.

    Thoughts?

    Start here:

    (1) Control Panel
    (2) Game Controllers
    (3) Saitek X52 Pro Flight Controller
    (4) Properties

Check each button against the display and make sure they light up.

Check hat switches and sliders as well.

Next, how are you programming them - in-game or with Saitek's software?

Control Panel: Has them not lighting up or moving.
Game Controller's says device is working properly
    Drivers are fully updated.

I'll check the Pro Flight Controller (where i dont know) later tonight, along with the properties.

And i'm checking both ingame and saitek software but no joy yet.

Already contacted Saitek Tech support today and they gave me a few things to do. If that doesnt work they said to mail it in to be fixed or replaced. Disappointing tho because I already love it to death and would hate to go without it for a week or 2. But I'm tired of reaching up to the keyboard to just do a few button commands (TS, and a few others)

Skinny I e-mail you a test profile, try it and see if those buttons work. TC

    No lights?

It "is" pluged in - right?

USB 2.0 to throttle, DIN9 throttle to DIN9 Stick?

If you're getting no lights, then nobodies home. Doesn't matter what other software you're using.

This is a drivers/os issue at this point.

I'll test that out later tonight TC

And yes Oscar, it is plugged in correctly, although i will try a different USB but I dought it will change much.

I've already downloaded and installed the newest drivers. Do you think it really could be the fact that i'm running XP 32-bit.

I'm planning on upgrading to Windows 7 in a month or so, just need to save up the cash to buy an external HD so i dont have to burn 30 + CD's like i've done in the past

    XP32 is fine....I run it.

    My info:

    HID Interface Devices
Saitek X52 Pro FLight Controller (HID) Driver version 5.7.0.22 9/13/2006
Saitek X52 Pro FLight Controller (USB) Driver version 5.7.0.22 9/13/2006

    Saitek Magic Bus
    Root Enmuerator 5.7.0.24 9/28/2006
    Saitek Magic Keyboard 5.7.0.24 9/28/2006
    Saitek Magic Mouse 5.7.0.24 9/28/2006

Just a thought, sometimes the 'latest drivers' are not necessarily the 'best drivers'. Notice I'm 'not' running the latest version. Not saying that is your problem, just a general observation about drivers.
