    352nd Bombers

    for the B-17G
    December 11, 2003

352nd Jinks is a consummate artist when it comes to working with aircraft skins. His talents were born in CFS, honed in CFS2 and the Fighter Design Group, and really show their stuff in the high-res skins available in Forgotten Battles.

He created what 352nd Deacon has called "the sweetest performing B-17 to ever hit the virtual world, the Bodney Belle" for CFS. When the B-17 became available in Forgotten Battles, Jinks quickly turned his attention to a new "Bodney Belle" skin. His efforts are superb.

The Bodney Belle is only one of many B-17s populating the 486th Bomber Group. Each plane was distinctively marked, but the basic paint scheme was similar. Jinks has also made the basic scheme available.

The 352nd historically mastered the art of long distance Bruns using the B-17 as the basic attack platform and the P-51 as the premier escort. The successful long-distance nighttime Brun required a night version of the B-17G. In CFS the role was fulfilled by "Deacon's Delight" and the "8-Ball Express". In Forgotten Battles Jinks has created two masterpieces to replace them. "Nightie Mission" and "Nighttime Nancy" are outstanding examples of the Forgotten Battles B-17G in night-attack livery. The two skins are available in a single download.
