|Web Page, Projects, Special Interests, etc:||Having ridden motorcycles practically my whole life, I have finally decided I'm old enough to ride something a little more genteel and bought a Ducati. My wife got all excited about it too until she rode on the back. Duc's aren't built for passenger comfort. Anyway, I keep in shape by playing Ice Hockey, golf and lawn darts (for some reason, I have gotten better at lawn darts since joining this squad..hah! just kidding on the lawn darts, it's too dangerous)|
|Profile:||There's not a whole lot to say, After 22 years, I retired from the Army last January which mean't I had to get a real job. Spent the early part of my career in the Infantry until one day an Officer came around and wanted volunteers for OCS. Being the genius that I was and realizing that Officers don't ever have KP, I signed up. The rest of my career was spent being a Tanker, first on M60A3's then the M1-M1A2. The best thing about being an Officer was being in a position to take care of the 'Joes and running your Platoon/Company the way you want to (with your Platoon Sergeant/First Sergeant's permission, of course). I moonlighted as a military consultant for EA when they were working on their "Soviet Strike" series games and more recently with Pandemic Studios on their "Full Spectrum Warrior" series. Lots of fun, just trying to make combat sims more realistic.
To make a long story short, I have always had a fascination with flight sims, starting with Their Finest Hour (remember that one? with the stupid decoder wheel?) I must have bought every flight sim from then on until I found IL-2 which led me to the 352nd. I really enjoy the comraderie' and the varied missions.
